My Dirty Table Series was born out of a moment of epiphany a while back. When I paint my silk scarves, the dyes often seep through the fabric onto the work table. When I would take the scarf off and begin to clean up the table, I would notice all these patterns, shapes, colors, that would organically form. I could manipulate the dyes by just blowing on them. I was so taken by this happy accident that I grabbed my phone and shot what I saw. It took a while for life to relax a bit and to actually get them printed. I’m starting with 4 designs and will add more later on. They show a completely different side of my artistic style. They are all signed on the back of the print to allow variable orientation. Price is $40 unframed and $65 framed.
